       A challenge with the rights of marginalized groups of people is that typically those who are the most affected by the marginalization also have the most to lose by participating in activism. If you're forced to stay in the closet, you probably don't want to be an activist either.

       Therefore, the average activist for that group's rights is probably not quite as marginalized as the average person in that group and nowhere near as marginalized as the most marginalized person in it, and may or may not have a good idea what the group as a whole actually needs.

       It is absurdly common for people to propose solutions like surveillance, deanonymization, censorship, and other things where the *very system that marginalized that group in the first place* is given more power over people's personal lives as if that would help somehow.

       Some of the proposed solutions even pretty blatantly only help the privileged enough part of the group at the expense of the rest. Like the "everyone should put pronouns in their bio to normalize it" idea, which sucks for those who can't afford to disclose their real preference.

       There are also activists who are not members of the group whose rights they're advocating for at all. In principle, that's fine if you can put yourself in that group's shoes — and not put the group in your own shoes instead, which is what people usually do, with idiotic results.
