Any of you folks use the hosted Miniflux service for RSS? If so, has it been really slow for you lately? I’m having all kinds of performance issues with it.Seriously thinking about throwing FreshRSS on my Synology and moving over to that…(to be clear, I’m talking about the paid Miniflux hosting provided by the developer, not the self-hosted version)

@kev can't say nothing about the hosted service, but it's most likely not an update issue. I self-host Miniflux on my Raspi and haven't noticed any performance decrease.

@mforester I wonder if their server(s) are over subscribed. I dunno.I've quickly spun up FreshRSS on my synology and it's WAY quicker, so I'll probably stick with that.

@jle I'm willing to bet it probably is. I'm just comparing it for _my_ needs.I've always struggled with Docker containers, and that seems to be the only way to host Miniflux, so FreshRSS it is. 🙂

@edgren I hear you. That’s why I really love Miniflux. I personally use Reeder on my devices to consume the content 90% of the time, so it’s not so much an issue for me.@jason123santa @joel

@kev If you were to use a native client side reader, does FreshRSS output a rolled-up RSS feed for subscription or does it have its own sync API? I’ve never used it, just super curious. Thanks!

@kev @joel Been using FreshRSS for a while, I switched from TTRSS. I like how fast freshrss was to get up running (docker). The only feature i miss is the digest emails i got from ttrss (daily email of highlights from feeds).

@kev @pim you should try the CustomCSS extension, FreshRSS has a ton of plugins and you can probably do a light version pretty easily, since I named all the things with css variables!Only problem will be the svg icons though, but I think they are also using a css filter which you should be able to figure out too

@kev @joel Great write up! I keep flirting with dark mode but inevitably switch it off every time. It’s far better in theory than in actual use for me. I still keep Nord on dark mode 100% of the time in any apps that offer the theme.

@kev this is fixed in the PR but I don't think its fixed on my separate repo. If you could add html{height:100%;}to the nord.css file it would be awesome, that can lead to a lot of resources being wasted if its not present xD

@kev yeah, its nothing visible but apparently without that line it would loat the title of every single article in the feed which would make huge lists of unread articles super slow or something like that.
