       I wrote a something else in Rust that sends it a random byte, which it uses to adjust the brightness of the light.My original plan is/was to have the board itself connect to the websocket and monitor. It still is, but without wifi that's not really doable. For now, I'm just going to get it working over the serial port.

       Are you still happy that you didn't buy a Raspberry Pi from the UK based charity the  Raspberry Pi foundation, who only want to put the "power of computing... into the hands of people all over the world" other than gamergaters obviously.        Hard wired RS232 will be way more reliable then WIFI.
