I feel like DC has a bit of a problem, because they keep trying to focus everything on "THE TRINITY" (Superman, Batman, Gal Gadot) but they don't actually like Superman. In fact they really really don't like him one bit. Makes A TRINITY quite hard to pull off.A part of me kind of wonders what a "Christopher Nolan's Man of Steel" would have been like.I'm sure he could have scripted one, but on the other hand, he made The Dark Knight Rises, so, it might not have been his best work.

Honestly I just don't think you can get Supes and Bats to coexist in the same universe. I'm sorry to all Justice League fans. I just don't think it can be done and every time it's tried to be done the result is very silly indeed, because it is an inherently silly concept.You have to come up with an answer for why Superman can't/won't clean up Gotham, and there just isn't any good one.

Well: there could be *one* good one:You'd have to portray Superman as someone who deliberately doesn't intervene in anything that humans can do for themselves. Give him a "Prime Directive".That would mean he wouldn't be saving any old ladies from muggers. If he ever does that, and yet doesn't go into Gotham, he's a jerk.

@natecull This, but replace "humans" with "superhumans". He won't fix Gotham because Batman is doing that.Or: there should be a story where he tries but because the problems are endemic it doesn't work. Remove a crimelord, and you get three more crimelords…
