Wife asked me today why so many kids are such a mess. Asked me in the context of some decent people she knows who have all kinds of problems at home despite that, despite all theirbest efforts. I could tell she was concerned as well about our son. What I said was there is no systemic forces on the side of the parents. All of those forces are actually in opposition to them. Even if they were actually neutral instead of antagonistic, socially children would still be messed up because there is no system for parents to fall back on.What I mean by system is the various forces that make up a society, such as communities, culture, institutions, collective knowledge, etc. Individual parents now have to be able to replace all of those forces on their own, forces that could fill in the blanks. @borzoi @SecularBlasphemy My primary motivation for reading nonfiction is the knowledge that I will have to create an entire civilization's worth of (im not what sure what word to use for it, ontology? Way of being? Idk) to pass to my children or "society" will fill in the gaps. I have to teach them what is true, what to believe, and how to act or they will learn these things elsewhere. RW dissidents are basically starting from ground zero with raising a non-pozzed generation.

I know Laura Towler worked with a professor over there in England to come up with a modern, non gay, curriculum for homeschooling white English kids. I’d like to have something like that here. From what I’ve heard of the home schooling groups from my mother around here, they’re not particularly based, and the influx we’ve seen in homeschooling the past couple years has been mostly because of necessity or because of the very real fear of their children being groomed by the state to be gay, Jewish, and system enjoyers. An American nationalistic curriculum for homeschooling white children as well as a trustworthy white nationalist homeschooling network/safety net/co-op would help lay out some of the foundations we need for our parallel institutions/society, I think.

That’s why I sometimes overshare because I’m basically learning by doing and trying to leave an easier path for anyone else. As my son gets older people will learn more in the broadstrokes about his educational paradigm because I’ll talk about what I’m trying out.Same reason we talk about the folk song project and do all of this American revisionism, just building foundations for people who will have the capacity to systematize it down the road.

Instead I have some recommendations: The span, from the beginning to early A.D. the Bible is going to be the best source. You can supplement with something like E. Raymond Capt's Biblical Antiquities (5 volumes). I don't have a good late Roman histories source, but for the middle ages, Dictionary of the Middle Ages Joseph R. Strayer (13 volumes). And, I would supplement that with any first hand writings from the period (such as papal decrees, or the Declaration of Arborath, etc). For modern history, the truth seems to only be available by reading the words directly from individuals or leaders. However, I know the least in this area at this time, and others here can probably give a better road map for modern history.As for STEM beyond the basics. I'm not comfortable recommending any of the books I've used. They are, bad, vague, opaque (the only exceptions are some advance programming books, and a single engineering book, but those may not be applicable to a general education). We do have a lot of STEM professionals in the community, so perhaps we can drum up some recommendations.
