things have been difficult lately..i don’t know. i’ve been having some real life stuff going on, and some work stuff, and i have an injury that had me spiraling for a few days because as usual, the millisecond something is wrong, i jump directly to the simplest conclusion; that it is permanent and life will never be the same again. my job is really causing me a lot of anguish these past few weeks. but it doesn’t matter because i chose to work there, right? that is what people tell me. so it is stupid to complain about something i chose. but it just leaves me feeling very.. paranoid and self conscious and sensitive when i feel like i am formulated, sprawling on a pin, pinned and wriggling on the wall with all my shortcomings being highlighted constantly by my superiors. i crave a little positive reinforcement. just please tell me i did a good.. 💔i have been listening to a lot of bach. bach always helps me when i feel down. i was watching some videos of yo yo ma performing live last night. they really brought tears to my eyes. i don’t know how to describe it. what inspired a composer from centuries ago to pen these notes? and inspired a little boy to pick up a cello and learn them? and inspires me to listen to him playing them from memory decades later, completely lost in the zone, his eyes closed, in his own world. just something sacred about that combo. and it touches a spot deep in my chest that words don’t reach. anyway, none of this matters and i am just rambling stupid shit because i feel alone. everyone has gone to travel and i am here unsuccessfully coping with the horrors of adult life. i feel tired and sad all the time. i regret writing any of this. sorry for not posting something better.

@theblessing I was talking to my ex about something vaguely similar to this, basically doing well at work nets you more negative talkings to than positive whereas the slackers will be showered with praise for doing 1 thing right in a day.You've always come across as a hard worker so I imagine youve got the prior case :)I hope you can resolve the issues you're having at work and your coworkers pull their weight and appreciate the effort you put in.things will get better!

@theblessingWas wondering how you were.I’ve been in a similar rut and there doesn’t seem to be much good. But I try to be thankful, but even that’s hard, though it’s something to encourage I think. Bach is wonderful, and a good outlet to just rest. You’re trying to succeed at a difficult job. Trying to please, but they keep you on because you do work that meets their requirements… maybe even exceeding them. Though people are self focused and don’t typically appreciate those who actually do the work.You don’t need their accolades; you clearly worry about it so much, I believe it’s because you care and place a lot of meaning in the work that you do. I can’t read your mind, but I’ve picked up enough over the time we’ve all been here to know you are a hard worker (even hard workers slack sometimes, so don’t bullshit if you take some time to daydream, it’s about results, not working 110% of the time).I’m sorry it’s been rough friend, however, it was nice seeing you post; been missing them. :lainsmile: I hope you feel better, and please go easy on yourself.
