I agree that #homework should remain as practice is key to learning, but on top of avoiding a competition of resources, it should also avoid rigidity so to not train students into blindly giving responses that they perceive as "desirable" for the teacher (and the #education system in general). The goal for students is to learn, not to push out their peers, although I guess it can't be helped if everything in life is about fighting for limited resources...https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/25/opinion/end-of-homework.html

...which is the case. I suppose it's natural that we are self-centered, but that's not how it works: #cooperation is what a society is built upon, and life is dominated by processes, not results.
