Just ordered a super cheap used @Lenovo @LenovoThinkPad x220 from @eBay with no OS so it'll be a @Linux_Mint box with 16gb RAM, 128SSD with a flush-but-new battery. Wish me luck. Like an older guy using a certain typewriter his entire life, I'm a true blue #X220 guy. Wish me luck!

@chris I ordered a nice Lenovo for school, and it was always nice to have a good computer when I saw other students with cheaper laptops struggle to do their work. I ran Mint on mine for a year in school and had problems with power management. That laptop now sits on my son's desk for homeschool 8 years later. My other son uses a similar model to this from eBay for homeschool. The keyboards on these ThinkPad systems are known for the keyboards. I am a programmer, and it feels good to type on.

@ShintoSurfer that's the only reason I've never upgraded to the 230. Chicklet keys that I hate.

@chris I want to do the same but I already have a nice Thinkpad so I don't need another Thinkpad I just have a problem where I want to buy lots of older ThinkPads
