i have a question - someone knows a programming language with good support and ability to easily make gui apps (also good support in it, not like python gtk with dead irc...)? best also light (not like python lul). and need to have builtin support for files, media, etc... (like JS but local and with "server" file support, definitely NOT like lua)noone? nothing? ;-;

bonus points for not being c-based (c# , c++, c, c-- , etc...) and for not being made by big corps =]

@hacknorris In QML the entire QT framework is available but if you wanna do anything outside of it then write code in C++ and link it with the QML code.. lol

@hacknorris a couple of examples of QML... though anything outside of QT framework and you had to write the code in C++ like interacting with the system, etc... But it is very quick in making GUIhttps://qmlonline.kde.org/

@hacknorris I would consider Godot. You can very easily make portable GUI apps. Some people are even making DAWs in it, not to mention artistic tools. It's lightweight, powerful and has a great active community. In version 4 you can customize the exports (builds) of your project to exclude anything you're not using to make the resulting binaries smaller.

@unfa but i dont want exactly for games. python gtk would be good if not support. something like that but with better support. I WANT IT SETTED UP, NOT PLACING BUTTONS EXACTLY IN X Y POSITION ON SCREEN.

@hacknorris GDScript is similar to Python but a bit simpler and optimized for the engine.You can make responsive UIs in it, there's a whole range of containers that will manage positions and sizes of your GUI components for you. No need to manually manage everything.
