       so this is the building behind that mysterious "American Church" road sign in the Frogner neighbourhood of Oslo. it's a Lutheran church, and it's apparently the largest English-speaking congregation in Norway. it's a pretty weird looking church.

       @thor These condos are not that modern, they are from the 50s, 60s and 70s. And these colors are highly critiqued as too pastel and too bright, they are quite often going to be painted white with accents if that's possible in the future

       @blaha @naruciakk can't say i've heard of that either, but i do know that America gave a fair bit of foreign aid to Europe through the Marshall Program after WWII. a number of American oil workers came to Norway during the 1970s, but that would've been further south in the Kristiansand region. i'm trying to think of other causes...
