@LouisConde those graphs seem like BS (I doubt there are as many sub 80 iq people with grad degrees as they suggest) the grpahs should be more skewed imo (see pic related, i.e. for the higher degrees, they should have a rough cutoff point and a right tail). This is probably the result parametric assumptions.

They are however incentivized to grade you as highly as possible, because higher average grades attract more funding and lower grades are penalized.

The former didn’t really need me at all, I could just give them a task and they delivered. The latter couldn’t be help, because my time was a limited resource and they required a lot more than I had on hand. So, I basically focused my attention on the average lads, trying to teach them the best I could.I suppose, if I had to focus on trying to push literally everyone through the course, the majority would just suffer and get nowhere.

When you have a majority of the student body going into shite like economics, arts and the humanities which all have a low barrier to entry of course you're going to get a lower average IQ as the population balloons with braindead normalfags.This isn't to say that the hard sciences, medicine and engineering aren't totally compromised either. One of the things she needed help with was symmetries, you know, square, triangle, circle, middle school level math. That girl should not have been in college. @D @LouisConde @caekislove Business degrees used to exists for children of elites to make connections and establish networks. Any knowledge people retain from those programs can probably be found in one of those "Ten-Day MBA" or "Personal MBA" books. But MBA degrees got deluded like everything else. An MBA degree from a non-Ivy college yields a lot fewer good connections.

@Tadano @LouisConde they are absolutely fucked.i go to a midwit uni for mathematics and first year for me.the teachers dont give a fuck about anything and the way that everythings set up students are are encouraged not to question anything.you have to go out your way to learn stuff that makes you more well read and educated.maybe id have a different experience if i went to better university but all in all, the only thing of value i learned here was that self-education is more important than university :blobwoozy:

This leads to the best employees at Google being the ones who could ace the harder interviews and the "older guys".

@Placholdr @Tadano @LouisConde Middle school in the early 2010s: Here's how to pass the OGT test every fucking day instead of math quizzes, with the cherry on top being they gave the entire school TI-NSpire CAS calculators that were overkill for middle school math. By the way the OGT tests were a literal joke and while I'd say any midwit could pass them, someone I know told me that he knew of people who couldn't find the circumference of a circle (or something like that) passing the math tests. Furthermore standardized tests in public schooling meant that aside from the mandatory Holocaust, Civil War, and MLK class, you would study solely to pass the state tests and nothing else. Okay maybe you'd watch Bill Nye or some boring ass movie if the class had enough good boy points.

You would be better off just hiring friends and relatives.If you are going into the market it seems like your goal is finding whoever is best at the job instead of just hiring someone you like. @D @Bro-Drillard @LouisConde It's hard to tell just by looking at a resume or doing a 30-minute interview if someone will be good for the job. Stuff like degrees act as a filtering mechanism. It's not fair or rational, but "it is what it is".Hiring friends also happens all the time. Usually there's rules against hiring relatives, though.

@LouisConde Honestly I'm surprised graduate school adds any IQ these days. I don't remember taking any exam to get into grad school. GMAT questions are totally subjective and idiotic. Breakdown by field of study and school would show a lot of dumb people go into academia because a) they're wealthy and bored b) funded by government/scholarships and/or c) can't cope with reality for whatever reason.

You can cram any part into a machine and it will keep running about as well as it was engineered to run. You can make a bigger difference in the world in something smaller or in starting your own thing.That’s my bias anyway after a decade in a massive company that owned and filled its own tower versus starting a family business.
