(yet?)not sure what the network namespace topology looked like with all those (potentially) nested containers but did you consider either wireguard on a port exposed on the host or a solution like socat to forward traffic between different namespaced ports on the lo iface?

       @e > just use a dockerthe things I said are what you do when you are "just using a container [docker]" but there are multiple independent ones and thus you need to open up a hole between network namespaces. or maybe even between KVMs on the host I guess, both of those options are quite versatilesocat in particular is zero config, just some shell redirections
