       @fribbledom Maybe a bash/shell script is the wrong thing for your use case if you need another "random" binary to wrap the magic you can't achieve with the language you have chosen?

       @alexandria Sorry about that and I understand you're disappointed. I'd love to hear what we can do to improve that situation, but it does sound like the terminal / screen-reader integration needs to be entirely rethought.

       @fribbledom @alexandria maybe it can some envvar and disable all the visual stuff and becomes just like any ol static prompt. not sure if there's a common/standard envvar for accessibility needs
