       @SNovak Modeling, textures/shading, lighting/cameras, compositing/rendering.Most of the above I have a handle on but in SideFX’s Houdini.I guess the real trick is learning the interface and understanding how things generally “work” in blender.

       @NunyaBidness Yeah, Blender has a fairly unique UI.  I transitioned from Maya,  20 years ago 😬, when Blender was like a 6Mb download.  So the sting isn't as fresh in my mind.  Blender has made leaps and bounds since then.

       @SNovak I was a 3DSMax user for a long time then found Houdini and fell in love with its UI and node based system. Blender kinda has some elements of that, or so it seems. I’m most interested in how far it’s come as a FOSS package.
