       @urusan Every now and then I'll actually go through my follows and followers and prune accounts that seem abandoned (or are outright marked as moved.)

       @thebiologist837 What aspect of instance hopping do you think would be most interesting to poll about?It could be about the time since they moved (if ever) or the absolute number of times they moved. It could be about the number of total and/or active accounts one has. Maybe something else?

       @urusan Actually, I think it might be better to focus on how many main accounts people have had. I've "tried out" about a dozen instances, but I've only had main accounts on two (over 6k posts).

       @urusan I usually change my default identity, the name that appears in the post. And sometimes the "photo" that was just something I kike. But I I'm keeping my real id.

       @methyltheobromine Well now I'm imagining a performance art project where a Fedi account is automatically transferred to a new account every day with today's date in the name.Even more impressive (and expensive) would be a dated domain instead of a username.
