Spent the day with this fella and his extended family yesterday. I am in love. I don’t really know how to explain it, it all happened so fast. We met at work. He started acting odd around me, was smiling (he never smiles at work) and when we talked I felt an instant connection. He could come off as quite stiff, but I saw through all that. I read his emotions very easily and I never felt scared around him.

We have a client who is very much work. But he always made me feel safe and protected, he was brutally honest and said once ”Why do you treat Rebecca so badly when all she does is being nice to you?” We had long discussions about work and how to make our work-enviroment a better place. I felt I could be honest and open with him about basically anything.

Our work-place had an after-work thing, and he asked me to meet me and two other for drinks before-hand. Our phone-conversation for this was very odd, and he almost stuttered when he talked to me. While we were at the bar, he basically only talked to me. It felt like I was on a date :-) He paid for my drinks too, which made me surprised.

He followed me partially home after the AW-thing and hugged me before we parted ways. I did not see that coming. I was like.. ”um, does he like me….”? 🤔The day after that, we worked together, and we just talked and talked and talked the entire day, and listened to music. The next day, we also worked together, and I was alone with him for two hours, and just got stuck in the kitchen talking to him. A co-worker was supposed to come in at the same time as me - -.

But he had told that colleague to come later because he wanted to talk to me in private, to confess what he felt. But he didn’t dare to, and I didn’t ask. I just felt strange vibes which I couldn’t quite make out from him. He invited me out to dinner, a fancy place and told me I didn’t have to pay, it was his treat. I was like ”cool, a free dinner with a nice colleague”! My friend suggested it wasn’t a dinner, maybe it was a date? 🤔

I was like ”naaah”, he just likes food, and wants to share a good meal with me because we get along so good. Well. He went off his shift, and came back later with stuff for a client. I think he must have been some what distraught because he left again, and returned once again, and he was like ”I forgot that I had more in my backpack”. I smiled, and then he shut the door, and hugged me again, all of a sudden. He broke loose from the hug, didn’t say anything, and just left.

And when he left, I was.. my heart was pounding so fast I didn't know what to do with myself. I remembered small things. Like being on a bus with him and not wanting to get off. Sitting in the kitchen at work and not wanting to go home, just to keep talking. Meeting his smile when we helped a client. Every time he touched me (both accidentally and on purpose) it felt like eletric sparkles were flying...

The way he talked to me - it made me feel instantly safe and his eyes told me I never had to be afraid again. That feeling followed me home. Right there and then, when he hugged me, I fell in love. I somehow knew inside me, that he felt the same way. I didn’t quite understand it though. I thought at first that we just got along great. Like regular co-workers. But people around me was like ”he’s in love with you, he never touches anyone, or smiles at anyone but you”.
