@urusan Tupperware seems really great, but it absorbs food flavors so I don't keep them. The cheapo ones I can discard after they hold anything strong-flavored, at a fraction the cost.

@urusan old joke but containers prevent "works on my machine" by shipping your machine to usersTruthfully, it feels like it papers over a lot of poor development/sysadmin practises

@urusan One more layer of abstraction never hurt anybody right? But it sure can make things more complex.I think I love, hate, and meh containers.

@urusan Containers are a low effort alternative to actually making your shit work properly in the diversity of the real world. Sacrificing efficiency for portability leaves you building battle tanks for people who only need to commute to work and bring home their groceries.
