It's no big surprise that Shkreli has jumped into the crypto industry. Within hours of his release, he was tweeting, and soon began joining crypto Twitter Spaces where he spoke about using a contraband phone while in prison to access the Uniswap crypto exchange.

There is no mention of the identity of the other co-founder in the press release or on the website, but the project whitepaper is authored by a Jason Sommer. Shkreli and Sommer have previously co-authored a short paper on a potential COVID-19 treatment.

Another oddity: the MSI token was created on May 21 and run by somebody else. According to Shkreli, he now has the keys and the original creator of the token disclosed their identity to him. It's not clear why he wouldn't just create a new token.
