You can skip the first few paragraphs if you just want to learn how to delete your account.Since Microsoft has been messing with the login system of Minecraft, it's now impossible to log in without migrating your account to an MS / XBOX type account. That, coupled with the skinserver shutdowns for older versions, the built-in Java mismatch between new and old versions, incompatibilities with older Bukkit servers, and the recent 1.19 moderated chat / permaban crap has made me lose interest in the whole Minecraft universe, at least as a player on a modern version.We've been running a 1.6.4 server since it came out, and now it's all cracked clients since no one wanted to update to the new login system, and 1.7 broke environmental things we'd come to accept as part of the way things were set up. In that regard, I understood that I was never going to be playing MC in a modern sense again, and decided to tie up loose ends, aka close and delete the accounts I had.The following post is a copy of a post i wrote on another system. I hope that if you decide you need to delete your account for any reason, you find this useful.******************************************I finally dumped my old minecraft accounts (had a few, bought for various "guest" players on a server) and it's somewhat of a pain in the ass. Here's what I found out. This process can take several days to complete. If you're lucky, you'll have everything done in under an afternoon.You'll need a lot of information. If you don't have the original emails containing the transaction ID for your purchase, you're screwed. You can deactivate the account but you can't ever delete it since M$ relies on this number to prove ownership. Otherwise, collect the following information:The original emails that list the transaction IDThe original emails that list the credit card transactions (if you have these sent during a purchase)The original email that contains the 4-digit ID for confirming your accountYou really only need the transaction ID email, but more information is better.M$ doesn't understand PDF, EML, or PST files, so you'll need to convert them to an image like JPG. There are plenty of converters online, I didn't care because I'm deleting the account. Who sent you the transaction record depends on how old the account is. If it's old enough, it's from Moneybookers. Newer accounts were paid via PayPal. You'll also need:The City and County the account was created inThe Month/Year of creationThe birthdate of the account creator.The IGN of the accountThe email used to create the accountThe answers to the security questions (if your account has those.)Go here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360035131011-Deleting-an-accountand select the link in this line:If you want to fully delete your account, contact Minecraft support and provide your transaction ID. In the "What can we help with?" box, type "I want to delete my account."Attach the images of your transaction emails. Make sure one of them has the transaction ID in it. You can attach up to 5 items. Once it's filled and attached, submit the form. You will almost immediately be taken to another screen, and you may see a message about submission in the upper right corner (very brief.)Now, wait.You'll usually be contacted by some Indian with an English name on the "I'm a minecraft gamer too!" form. This is a chat form, and will not work if you have aggressive script blocking. If they don't immediately shunt you to support, type "I want to delete my account. My transaction ID is .....id......" You may have to go through a round or two of "Here's how to deactivate..." before they send you to support.Support will email you, and probably request further information, including all the stuff like birthdate, questions, account creation date, etc. Answer all of these and wait some more. You may get an email stating that you haven't replied, say that you sent the information on date and want to delete your account. Sometimes you'll get asked if you really want to delete your account. Make it clear that "I want to delete this account." @Moon The only way I found I could get any response was to provide the transaction ID. I could still log in to the old Mojang Studios webpage, but it immediately shunted me to a page telling me I needed to migrate my account to a MS account to continue playing. I don't think you can even deactivate the account without migrating.But if you don't have that transaction ID number, and your account has been (helpfully) set to receive no system emails - you're pretty much SOL.It took me the better part of a month to get the 5 accounts under my control deleted.

@Moon @antichrist_hater @comradeagle It's no yet as complete as minecraft, but it's almost as complete when I stopped playing int 2014~2015.For some reason mineclone2 and 5 are resource demanding comparing to other mods made in lua like minetest extended.Tbh i liked the new/different of minetest shame the modders just went with a full minecraft function clone imo.There's a big work to do on AI for mobs, the game isn't challenging enough.

@comradeagle @Moon @antichrist_hater @coolboymew @mangeurdenuage @Hyolobrika @PhenomX6 @teknomunk if you guys are looking for a good and working pirated minecraft client then Mineshafter is what i use and it works well..https://mineshafter.infobut you will only be able to connect to servers that use the “”””offline””” mode, which is a stupid name for it because it is still on the internet, it just doesn’t connect to microsoft account crap to verify any accounts.. but i usually just play with friends, so i usually just run my own server (i use Paper for the server, which is the best minecraft server software in my opinion).. i personally don’t care about connecting to random servers, i just like playing with my friends and having control of how the server operates and options etc..this means that any one can be any name.. so you probably want a plugin like LoginSecurity so people can register a name and password on your server so that only they can have that name..you probably also want a plugin like SkinsRestorer so that people can have skins.. i think you have to find a site that shows you which skins official registered accounts have and then you type a command in your client and it changes to that skin that you specify..also if you like messing around with programming stuff, Skript plugin is amazing because you can change tons of stuff on the server and do basically any thing you want.. i’ve made a super guide system that works in 3D coords, and made a random dungeon generator, and all sorts of shit with it..keep in mind that for 1.18+ microshit made it so you CAN’T disable the snooper settings that sends metadata shit to microsoft….. and i haven’t played past 1.16 yet though so i haven’t looked up if there is a way to block it by blocking your client from using certain ports or what..and yeah i’ve played minetest before, and it feels like it has potential, but it is very unpolished.. feels like an alpha version really.. i hope it gets better eventually..

So instead of dealing with that bullshit, I just deactivated the Mojang account, which hopefully will eventually get discarded at some point. I'm not dealing with a 3rd account migration that's only just to funnel people into the Microsoft ecosystem (and likely the Microsoft Store).I've found MineClone 5 (Minetest addon) as a perfectly sufficient replacement to recreate the Minecraft experience for me, plus the bonus of open source, an actual modding API, less RAM usage, and being able to auto-download mods that are used on a server when joining a server.

I agree, minecraft is highly polished, but it has a lot of money behind it. Minetest is rough in spots, but makes up for it with the almost unlimited amount of extras you can shove into it.

@comradeagle @Moon I tried when the news first dropped and ended up being put in a loop between Mojang > Microsoft > Mojang > Microsoft > Mojang > Microsoft ad infinitum. The account is just rotting now which I guess is preferable.
