@stux It's not a present. They're using your code as inputs to their Co-Pilot AI, and then selling the AI, so bits of your code will show up when other developers who bought it try to do the same thing you've done

@stux Until MS makes you pay for it. Thinking about auto pilot which is created with content from the open-source world and which now costs money.

@epso @stux am I the only dev that doesn't use autopilot?I'm on Github simply because of the network effect - if I want devs to see my repos, that's where the most are. But happy to move repos otherwise.

@stux @epso I really don't think it will. Good luck getting an AI to figure out the intentions of half-finished business requirements and legacy systems. It'll give you snippets of code for a particular purpose, but it can't figure out the big picture

@stux @epso gitea is pretty cool. They're apparently working on making it use ActivityPub for federation too, so that'll be awesome to see - hopefully it'll let us start breaking down the walled gardens of stuff like Github
