@scenesbycolleen How do you feel about these AI art generators? I've got access to one of the fancier ones, Midjourney, where you must pay to use it past a certain point, and I've past that point. Are you at all concerned that these bots will meet or even surpass human artists in terms of skill and creativity?

@NEETzsche @scenesbycolleen Actually, I love the idea.It will speed up the creative process significantly.Artists will incorporate it as a texture/concept art generator, but they will still be needed to unify it into movie/game/franchise.

@NEETzsche @scenesbycolleen last one has some manual digital painting. Personally I've used dreamscopeapp quite a bit to create the base for vector graphics like this

@rytger This looks like a Midjourney. The artifacts are a dead giveaway. All these AI art generators are still in the proof of concept phase. But I'm still pretty impressed@scenesbycolleen

@rytger So are you adopting the stance that you should use them to create a base and then use your human artistic skill to touch them up, perhaps extensively?@scenesbycolleen

@NEETzsche @scenesbycolleen I've done a lot of experimentation to learn which inputs give creates outputs I can use, but despite that I still do a lot of different renders for the same subject and it's not always I get something good enough for vectorization. The most important tool for a visual artist is your eyes.
