       How do I explain free software to my dad? I'm afraid that he might install the Windows 11 spyware on his computer very soon.I want to protect him from that trash, making him install some GNU/Linux distro instead.

       @Mirk0dex @harrysentonbury I would say don’t force it on him. He probably already has an opinion about it give. That his computer is the only one not running linux. Use Linux around him. Let him see its unique uses! Start an FTP server for your household or something. Choose to BE the message rather than to persuade him.
