@josemanuel I only end up with an error and mpv doesn't go farther than that:[vo] Video output opengl-hq not found! What's weird is that I had no issues prior to updating today, and mpv itself hasn't been updated in a while

@esheep The only values for vo that I can find in the reference documentation are gpu and vdpau. (I’m pretty sure there must be more, but I can’t find them.) Can you try those?

@esheep@raru.re @josemanuel@qoto.org if opengl-hq isnt found, what is mpv using? and why arent you using vo=x11 or vo=gpu?

@blub @josemanuel I have not set an vo option explicitly in the config file. Logs says it's picking gpu automatically. For instanceVO: [gpu] 1920x1080 nv12

@josemanuel Get warnings from vdpau, specifying gpu explicitly doesn't change anything (since it was the default)

@esheep There is command-line option (aptly named “–framedrop”) that you can use to tell mpv not to drop frames: https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#videoLet’s hope that helps.

Finally solved my issue with mpv dropping framesTurns out the culprit was PulseAudio. More specifically, libpulse's new version.https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/10295Forcing mpv to use ALSA solves the issue :blobcatShrug:
