@Moon @kaia @lewdthewides I'm not a sysadmin so I can't answer it properly but from what I got it's kinda of cutting corners (not wanting to pay for a good sysadmin/software or more drivers) with a poor ZFS setup.Here's a few things that I know that he does wrong:* Creates very big Z-Raid arrays(10-15 disk in each pool with 2 disks of redundancy) so when one drive fails it takes days to rebuilt.* Don't setup any analytics/metric/alerts for the drivers, so he only knows that a drive fails when it fails completely, not when the S.M.A.R.T. or something else began to throw errors.* Doesn't backup the archives(aparently he tried once but gave up because it wasn't cheap)* The last time he didn't setup an automatic ZFS scrub, which made everything worse but this is fixed now.Some of the points can be wrong nowadays because I gave up following him about six months ago, so nowadays I only watch a video or segment when I see someone talking about it
