I've never had a good tasting veggie burger. I want one but it feels like the people developing these have never had a good burger in their lives.please someone take them to a decent steakhouse.

@Rasp There's a restaurant near where I live and they only serve vegan food. Their burgers are nigh indistinguishable from real ones

it's because the good veggie burgers are made with beans, garlic, onion and a bunch of comino, oregano and one variant of tangerine... to emulate the meat flavor.

@tinosoft I dunno where the hell you get them. I tried the "impossible" burger and it tasted like rotten garbage

@RaspTbh I vastly prefer burgers from ground beef, but I have had decent black bean burgers in the past, not sure if that counts but it might be worth trying?

@Rasp I can't imagine it's easy making a veggie burger that tastes like not veggie. Also I've had an Impossible before and it tasted fine. Maybe your palate is built different.

@Rasp it heavily depends on the quality. Think of the difference between a burger king "burger" and a proper steakhouse burger. They are almost entirely different food items.I've had awful bean burgers, and fantastic *something* burgers. It really depends what the patty is made of, what experience the chefs/cooks have with cooking it, the crunch of the bun, freshness of garnishings, ect.In other words, low quality veggie burgers are just low quality. It doesn't reflect all VG burgers
