@Phil If you are using the Lee Loader (Linked before) you can reload about a round a minute.If you are using a press, (much more investment) you can crank out 2 - 3 rounds per minute.I load my wife's ammo (338 lapua) with a Lee loader. I am very careful, weighing each powder charge, etcetera, so, 2 -3 minutes to do each round.She LIKES making headshots at 1 Km.Only target pic I have of Kimmy's, is at 300 meters5 rounds She does this alla time.@MMA

@AnotherStag I’m gonna seriously look into it. Can you list out all things one would need to do 9mm’s, 22’s, 38’s, 45’s, where/how to get powder, etc? I have some shells saved, but no 38’s. @3SEAS @AnotherStag I think it is great to learn new things and be as self-sufficient as possible. Especially since the government is buying all the ammo. That's what we're having to do with medical treatments and with food supplies. Figure out workarounds. It is a shame, but it's where we are.

@3SEAS @MMA The manual will have the powder weights for each powder / bullet you need.A digital scale that reads in .1 or smaller GRAINS. NOT Grams.Like I said earlier, you can start with a Lee Loader kitShop for them, because Amazon prices suck. You can usually find them around $25 each caliber.Or, you can invest in a reloading press. There are many brands and prices wildly vary,You only need one press, and the die sets for your calibers.

@3SEAS @MMA Primers. 9MM, and 38SP use Small pistol Primers, 45 uses Large pistol Primers. I use CCI, just because I have for years.Powders... Expensive. Buy in 8 Lb jugs, whenever you can. But that's a few hundred per jug.I have no recommendations to brand or type.Bullets. Projectiles, whatever. I like Hornady but that's me.Again, you have to shop around. WILD fluctuations in prices, latelyIt is expensive, to reload. In money and time.But, money wise, it's still cheaper.

@3SEAS @MMA And the more you shoot, the savings over factory loads add up.Another thing, Always buy brass cased, boxer primed ammo, if you can.Steel cased, and aluminum cased are not safe to reload.Berdan primed can not be reloaded.There's a whole shitpot more to reloading, but this can give you a start.The FIRST thing to remember, just like in shooting, is SAFETY. Eye protection is a MUST.

@Normie_Sue I do dry fire pistol training, quite a bit. Helps a lot in reducing flinch,Having said that, NEVER dry fire a .22 rimfire. Doing so will damage the firing pin and chamber face to the point that it will not always fire the primer.@MMA @watson @3SEAS

@3SEAS I generally do 100 pistol rounds per setting...2 boxes. Because Kimmy and I shoot a box each, every range day.I clean the brass in a tumbler with corn husk media. It's cheap.Then all get done each step. at a time.When I am reloading, there are no distractions allowed. No phone, no conversations, no radio, no grandkids, etc. Attention to detail is critical.
