@kzimmermann that's what I voted. I just wanted to comment on how I exactly use my dotfiles setup, that I don't have too different setups on my machine.Surely the packages differ, but the shell and alike are similiar/equal.

@Anachron that's what I do, too. But it does get tiring when you have to do the same thing over and over again for every system you install, or working on a machine you've never used before. So I was wondering if stucking to the defaults would stop being so painful if I just bit the bullet you know.
