I "do" my own astrophotography from my back yard and other remote sites; you have to remember that every shot of a nebula, galaxy, star cluster, etc... are all digitally made and they pretty much have to be. Most shots you see are at least in the exposure times of 20-30 minutes minimum, and to take that kind of a shot on film, while tracking a small object moving across the night sky, at focal lengths of 400mm and greater would be stupid in today's world of digital processing. Does NASA doctor stuff up? Yes. Do they provide false color images? Yes. Would they do this to provide the best possible image to present to the public to justify the obscene cost of this new space telescope? Absolutely.

Oh yeah those are nuts. Like they collapse bubbles to make tiny balls of plasma.That was a huge problem with some of the earliest propeller driven ships. Eventually they reached a point where the bubbles coming off the propeller were doing that so hard they ate the propeller away.

Yes, they do. In the sense that the images they provide from a majority of ground and space based telescopes are entirely digital, and not what you would see with your own eyes. The images they present are more different than what you'd see posted by amateurs on a site like Astrobin.com - only that their telescopes are much larger.

The current model of the earth is just that, a model. There is the possibility for hollow planets, or at least a less dense core, depending on if you want to view gravity as a function of electric influences on atoms being made into dipoles, rather than a function of mass distorting "space-time".

As I've got a moment to deal with these two horrible attempts at being memes lol:1st) the graphic depicted is inherently misleading - space isn't a vacuum, it isn't inherently a solidly empty space with absolutely nothing in it. Gasses experience pressure gradients, which is why the atmosphere gets lower in pressure the higher in altitude you are from the surface - it even gets higher the lower you are from sea level (in places such as death valley). Airplanes and the engineering behind them wouldn't be what they are if this wasn't true (take a look at the U-2 vs SR-71 design concepts to generate lift at roughly the same altitudes, wing surface area at slower speeds vs smaller surface area but stupidly fast speeds). To assume that the atmosphere magically forms a strict barrier between space and itself is not the truth, which is what this shit meme is attempting to depict. Also, your comment on the curvature of the year regarding the 8 inch drop wouldn't matter at all on a flat earth; in fact it wouldn't matter period. If on a flat earth, a tall enough object could be seen at any distance with a powerful enough telescope to detect it, assuming you could compensate for the mass of denser air you'd be looking through, especially if directly on the surface.Also, a flat earth would have the same night sky at every location on it, considering that we do have a "north star", Polaris in the northern hemisphere (there is also a "south star" in the southern hemisphere, but it's magnitude is so high that it typically isn't seen by the naked eye).What you can verifiablely observe is that at a latitude near either of the tropics, take a star trail picture, with any exposure required to creating the circling pattern, with the celestial north or south pole (depending on which hemisphere you're in) being in the photo, then travel a decent distance towards the equator - your star trailing pattern will shift from circular around the celestial pole, to more and more straight lined from horizon to horizon, specially if you get close enough to the equator to where the north/star is very close to the horizon or has set. The very movement of the night sky, while changing positions on the earth, reveals its general shape - a sphere.

A helicopter doesn't exist in a vacuum of separation of forces; it has a velocity of zero relative to the surface of the earth, because it is already on it - it would require enough of a force to not only shift that relative velocity.

Primarily, I can't resolve God as described in the Bible and the supposed free will we have to choose his path or deny it; an all knowing, all powerful, timeless God, who exists at all places, at all times - past, present, and future, - already knows your decisions before you make them. This would be true for all souls, as well as all creatures - to include spirtual, such as angels, demons, lucifer himself; everything would be pre-scripted and planned (even the Bible claims this with Revelations), which then means if we're entirely subject to eternal judgment based on our actions in this life - God is knowingly creating souls to specifically go to heaven and hell, which would violate the perception of his holy morality. Also, all evil beings and acts would be extentions of his will.The only way to resolve this is God is either not all knowing, or human actions exist outside his will and therefore have true free will while in this existence, for which we would then be judged after.

No actually waxing means towards a full moon, waning means towards a new moon... both pictures show the same moon, a Gibbous - regardless of if it is a waxing or waning, at the same time from both those shots - of which again, don't give the entire photo for either so a frame of reference to the horizon can be established. For all we know, they did what I did - simply cropped and rotated the image to make a really crappy meme.

The only way to determine if one guy was seeing a waxing while one was seeing a waning at the SAME time would be to literally take shots of the moon at the same time for both every day over 15 to 30 days, string the shots together into a time lapse to see if the moon was transitioning to a new moon for one guy and a full moon for the other.

Exactly and your image doesn't provide enough information to actually support what it's claiming. Put it this way. On that first image... if the moon orbits around roughly the 'equator' line of this flat earth model... the technically someone can be standing right underneath it... which means that if the moon is still being illuminated by the sun in this model, they would only see a half moon when directly under it... someone else being much farther away, say between the moon and the sun at the same time... would see a completely different phase at the same time.This has never been observed on earth.

I know you mentioned that all of these space images are composites and they have to be... they are very faint, which means you have to take long exposure shots to capture enough light... that also means you have to be VERY steady or else there will be blurring... oh and the target is also moving... which means there will be LOTS of individual shots.Good luck trying to take 1 3 hour long exposure of an object that is moving and extremely faint, vs taking tens to hundreds of shots and putting them together.A painter can only be so accurate when recreating reality in a still life or landscape; the same is true for astrophotography, simply because of the constraints you're working with.Fun fact: NASA uses false color imaging all the time, when utilizing narrowband imaging. Quite a few beautiful nebulae you see from them are not the same colors you'd see with your own eyes. Again, this is avccepte. I've done my own narrowband imaging and created false color images.The first is closer to the colors you'd see with your eyes, the second is narrow band, false color. Both are of the Carina Nebula, which I took years ago.
