This has me wondering:What is JESUS’ will? He’s not acting on his own will, but God’s will.

@zoon Jesus took on the burdens of being human, which comes with all sorts of temptation and tendency towards selfishness. He felt hunger, pain, and probably other urges. None of which distracted him from his purpose: to fulfill his Father's will. The mystery is also of the Trinity and Godhead and what the descent of the Son onto Earth means. They are the same in spirit, but Jesus occupied a human body as an example of conquering the flesh and worldly temptations.

@someGuyNick I understand. But it doesn’t resolve the question. Jesus was not exercising his own will. He was solely an advocate for the father

@zoon We know his will was to fulfill his Father's will, at least. The reason there seems to be a distinction between the two is because he was there in human form, while the Father was in heavenly form. But they are the same. This seems like something that needs to be studied. You've caught my attention and Ill be looking more into it too. I think it will point to the mystery of the Trinity.

@someGuyNick you know this how? Does it state this explicitly?Good for discussion But Jesus, who’s described as perfect and God incarnate, is drawing a distinction that he is separate of the Father. So again, it comes back to, what would have been Jesus will had he not been sent to Advocate for the Father?Would he even have instantiated at all?

@zoon That is the mystery of the Trinity. How can two (three) things be different and the same at once? That said, another point to consider is just because Jesus's will and God's will are mentioned separately does not mean they are different. People can see and touch Jesus. By making the distinction, the attention is drawn upwards to God in Heaven. Does it state *what*, specifically? That Jesus's will is to fulfill Gods will?
