What's wild to me is that LaserDisc didn't digitize the video signal - it was FM-encoded composite NTSC or PAL, with a PCM digital audio signal slapped on top.

@ashfurrow last time I tried to understand analog signal processing I went half-mad like in an HP Lovecraft storyI think that's why they didn't want to mess with it much and just ship the signals as-is :D
