Everyone in the USSR knew their leaders were lying to them because they could see what a state things were in with their own eyes. Everyone had to pretend everything was wonderful though. The USSR became a place where no one believed in anything and no one had any vision for a different future. You see it in science fiction from that time - Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky brothers where an alien force has created a zone where nothing makes any sense. A place filled with many wonders and horrors. Humans try to understand it but really many of the trinkets they recover from "the zone" were probably just discarded junk and rubbish the aliens left behind by accident. Solaris by Stanislav Lem about a space station orbiting a planet with an alien ocean that seems to have some sort of consciousness to it. They beam x-rays down trying to communicate but it reflects reality back at them which causes the people on the station to go crazy.

While they can always agree on their hatred and persecution of the goyim I think there are disagreements on how to go about it and after all this time many of their policies have caused serious degradation to the infrastructure they rely on to rule and project their power to the provinces. You have a highly fractious multi cultural population who all want an ever increasing chunk of a shrinking resource and economic pie. Many of the boomer-cons and paleo-cons high on copium seize on any kind of infighting as proof that someone in ZOG is on their side. That of course is laughable but it is possible some of the infighting between the elites may create a power vacuum we can eek out an existence in. Look at how many of his own party Stalin had liquidated while trying to hold on to power. Part of the reason the current administration is so dysfunctional is probably because several different factions are competing for power - you have the Biden crime family itself. The Obama faction (as scary as it seems - the sanest of the lot) you also have the neo-conservative Clintonista faction and its myopic focus on Russia and Ukraine and finally I think you have the future of the ZOG administration. The hardcore AOC style young leftists trained in the Ivy leagues who likely constitute many of the presidents white house staffers and advisors and those who advise and aid the various secretaries who are the most extreme of the lot. In other civilisations these people would have been the "court eunuchs". The Roman empire descended into this kind of infighting and bickering as it decayed. You had numerous instances of the Roman empire having multiple emperors controlling various parts of it or multiple emperors in the same year. We're likely at the very start of this process. Likely the only reason Biden hasn't been removed already is no one has any confidence in Kween Kamala to lead the plot. Maybe even a few remember the coup against Gorbachev in the USSR in August 1991 - A big reason it failed was counting on a wet sandwich like Gennady Yanayev to be its titular head even if the head of the KGB and armed forces were actually the main agitators for it. He balked at using the interior troops and KGB to conduct a massacre in front of the TV cameras of people on the streets like the PLA had in Beijing 2 years earlier.
