Wish me luck, my darlings!I'm flying tomorrow, assuming my flight doesn't get canceled. I'm traveling to the other coast to spend a week with family to celebrate a milestone birthday. I'm going to need a lot of lavender oil to stay mellow.I've got my KTN so hopefully going through airport security will be easy.

@ringo Hi! The travel was from San Diego to West Virginia. The birthday was another family member. It was a good visit for the most part. Dulles Airport is huge, soulless, and not at all pedestrian-friendly.

@ringo Right? It's enormous and looks like a post-apocalyptic hellscape. There is literally not a single beautiful thing about Dulles Airport.

@NancyFancyPants same could be said for DFW, and that airport in colorado i forget the name but its reaally creepy. it has the tram thingy in it, like atlanta. i have not done air travel since the whole bird flu thing, did they ask for a sample of your unborn first childs dna, and hang you upside down in an x ray machine that probed your last 3 weeks thoughts, and checked your social media accounts?how did that aspect of the trip go

@ringo You're thinking of the Denver International Airport. That art is creepy AF. Anyone reading this - just Google Denver Airport art and enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole!I signed up for the Known Traveller program thru TSA so I breezed through airport security which was awesome. I didn't have to remove my sweater or shoes, take my laptop out of the bag, or remove my plastic Ziploc bag of liquids. It was almost civilized. Well worth the $85.

@ringo https://www.tsa.gov/videos/tsa-precheck-travel-ease-known-traveler-numberI was invited to share my vaccine info but it wasn't required. I didn't have to provide any evidence of vaccination or negative CV-19 test in order to fly. No masks required in airport or onboard the plane. Masks were "encouraged" but not required.From SD to Dulles I estimate about 40% of passengers and all flight crew wore masks. From Dulles to SD maybe 15% of passengers wore masks and maybe 50% of flight crew.

@NancyFancyPants oh wow.thats a big difference than the videos i seen from a year ago.. everone masked... haha i can teven wear the thing for five ten minutes and be happy about it.oh, and tsa "pre" dad has that. so i have heard of it.gracias amiga
