I just read this articlehttps://sfconservancy.org/blog/2022/jun/30/give-up-github-launch/wow, I realized copilot has problems but it seems spark the foss community to take a really strong action, and I'm joining them and will try to move away from #github, probably gitea? any alternatives fellow fosstodon-er (do we have a name lol)?

@splatt9990 thanks, I think I'll try codeberg, but self host is not too bad of a choice too, but it can be a pain to maintenance.

@fahru @splatt9990 gitea is pretty much plug and play. The same for gitweb, but the latter is pretty basic. If you want a Github like workflow, then you'll love Gitea.Stay away from Gitlab, it consumes an absurd amount of resources and it's very slow.

@splatt9990 @fahru @werwolf I had the same problem with Sourcehut for some reason. Celery background workers were plowing away and I hadn’t even tried to use it yet. Gitea has been nice, on the other hand.
