@Mastodon @oakstudios Saw this over on mastodon.online, all the blues replaced with purples.It is now quite hard to see whether a post is boosted on my laptop's screen.The old blue was much easier to distinguish.It doesn't matter what colour the logo is, but please keep the interface colours useable with better contrast.

@MastodonThat is totally wild that we both thought of the same-ish gradient.To be fair we did come out with three gradient colours so the odds are maybe not so surprising.Purple is an intriguing colour. @volumeYes, we start with the premise how to empower people locally. (We assume mastoIcon change is because if ppl use it on their site it will clash, ie. be too similar to, other dotCon icons. We will read the blog though. Having said that…)We think it is more healthy for the network as a whole to use a fediverse icon. @kevIn an assessment you made about searchEngines we saw somewhat recently, you struck out Startpage from a list of viable options because the icon had purple.Agree that one generally wants to have a couple options for an icon in case a person is already using one that is similar.@Mastodon @oakstudios
