       @josh I think they are just starting to crack down more as there seems to be more people in Lumbridge then I remember; it was bustling today.For context I played OSRS for the first time today in 8 and a half years :cirno_laughing: It feels weird seeing someone comment on OSRS immediately after I log out.  :shiggy:

       @josh There are 5 types of bots.  Bots are a binary construct. 2 to the 5th power is 32. Bots live in system 32.  Delete system 32 to get rid of the bots.

       @josh For the original bot nuke they hired someone who was the main developer on the most popular botting client (Jacmob) and they worked together on implementing an anti-botting system that lead to the huge bot nuke sometime during 2011. I assume they still use this system today but bots are still a major problem on OSRS especially in free to play.

       @FailurePersonified @josh It may also have to do with the YouTube series SirPugger does on discovering and cracking down on bot farms. Essentially botters have started to migrate away from Lumbridge and Varrock and started conducting their botting activities in more remote locations of the game, like Soul Wars island. They still definitely do exist, although they might not look like the default avatar anymore. I found a conga line of them in 301 running into the Wilderness to be killed on other worlds and mule their money over.

       @Artemis_Fowl @josh Even though they are pretty damaging, it makes for a fun few minutes or so watching them.  Sometimes some really weird glitches in path finding shows just how jank the scripts are
