@PinochetsCommieCopter That looks like nitrogen tetroxide, it could be fuming nitric acid the natural decomposition gases (nitrogen tetroxide) too.Either way, fertilizer precursor and very common hyperbolic oxidizer rocket fuel.Very common chemical compound with a lot of uses on all places.Maybe Jordan wanted to make some local fertilizer and an accident or (((accident))) happened.

@Carcharoth @PinochetsCommieCopter I'm going to go with simple chlorine.

@CoQ_10 @PinochetsCommieCopter chlorine is more greenish that orange, but at the beginning there is some green tint, so maybe its chlorine. What I don't now is about the fast gas generation, chlorine isn't that unstable.

@PinochetsCommieCopter It looks bright yellow and then orange when it mixes with air.I don't know off hand what chemical it is but I'm sure there are some chemists out there who could figure it out.

@GabeLakmann @PinochetsCommieCopter Colourant and odourant are often added to toxic gasses for pretty much this reason. You instinctively know the big yellow cloud is bad news.

@randbot @PinochetsCommieCopter True, but the reaction from yellow to orange would probably help identify it.Toxic gas that is colored yellow but turns to orange when "oxidized" and can evidently kill fairly easily would be contextual clues.

@randbot @PinochetsCommieCopter And yeah, you can see that truck driver seeing it in his rear view mirror and everyone else bailing at about the same time when they see the yellow cloud of death.

@GabeLakmann @PinochetsCommieCopter Could be fluorine I suppose. Whatever was in there it's reacting with whatever it was dropped on, so it's more than likely a hilarious mixture of toxic gases and aerosols.
