Mountain Dew mouth is caused by chronic consumption of mountain dew. It's a combination of bacterial and acidic tooth decay.Fun fact! The bacterial infection can spread to the nerve endings preventing any local anesthetic from working. Then you get to treat a complex bacterial infection before you can begin to address the whole "rotting mouth" thing.

You only find this out when surgery begins.That's gotta be lovely for the patient. Feeling the dentist rip every rotting stump from your mouth, then gouge around the nerve root trying to get all the infected bone chips out.The whole time, you're waiting for the anesthetic to kick in.

@Tmr quick image search for either condition turned up similar results.People don't realize how bad this really is. Likely 10k minimum to even start fixing the damage. Then around 1k+ annually to deal with complications from the corrective surgery.
