@mametsuko Das erste ist imho eine Feststellung und das Zweite eine Frage. 😃Nur das Fragezeichen beim ersten ist falsch

@mametsuko Usually, “I am cute?” is a response to someone telling you that you are cute, and has a somewhat disbelieving connotation."Am I cute?" would be the typical way to ask someone if they think you're cute.

@mametsuko "I am cute?" requests confirmation of what you already believe. "Am I cute?" has no such bias. However, the former can also be short for "because I am cute?", used as a justification/explanation, like かわいいの?

@mametsuko "i am cute?" => you are asking for confirmation, implying someone called you cute"am i cute?" => you are asking if you are cute

@flandrescarlet @mametsuko mm the first would make more sense if the question is whether *i* am cute. like if you were in a group of cute people and were wondering, "i am cute, too?" :blobcatcomfthink:

@mametsuko Not sure, but I think the main difference is that if you're cute, people are more likely to walk up and give you flowers.

@mametsuko My opinion: I am cute? : cute is set as the fact, question is about the person. I, you or he? Who is cute? Am I cute? Person (I) is set, the question is about the cute. Am I ugly, tall, dity or cute? But my last english school lesson is 35 years ago.......

@mametsuko The former is a statement that tells about something (in this case the questionmark is used to imply either disbelieve/surprise or "annoyance").The latter is a question that asks about something. Some similar examples:- "I am an engineer?" vs "Am I an engineer?"- "I like brot?" vs "Do I like brot?"- "He is a weeb?" vs "Is he a weeb?"
