So since I accidentally wiped my fone... Taking recommendations for android software, for just about anything.I will probably reject media player recs (auxio is the only one I've come across that doesn't enforce that stupid "back returns to start of song" behaviour).I will almost certainly accept: note-taking software, terminal software, sync/backup software (!!)

@Zergling_man for texting i really like textra, it's a paid app but it does have a lot of nice features. i've been using it for a long time.also i'd recommend making your alarm app be sleep as android. it has a bunch of challenges you can set on your alarm so you have to do some sort of task before it will turn off. the ones i use are simple math and reverse typing but there's ones that like require you to scan NFC or QR codes, or clicking on sheep, and a few others. it also has sleep tracking so you can set a target time to wake up and it will wake you up around that time depending on where you are in your sleep cycle so that you'll get the best waking experience.if you're looking for FOSS apps though i don't really know anything about them lol. i bought those ages ago and still use them to this day.

@beardalaxy Oh, right. I don't use my fone for alarms, I have a basic alarm clock because it doesn't randomly crash, and I don't text at all, so these two are meaningless to me ツI don't use my fone as a fone, at all. It's a media player with extras.

@Zergling_man I don't usually use Android but simple-mobile-tools from f-droid have done me well. Termux is pretty fun (but Terminal Emulator for Android might be more close to what you need). All on F-droid of course. Most importantly have fun; you aren't forced to try new applications every day ;)

@cyastis I might as well take the opportunity though.

@cyastis Also, I've already been using termux. I'll give that other term a try, since termux's very shitty tab drawer hitbox annoys me.Simple tools I use on and off; last run I was using their note taker, which has very nice shopping list support. Would be nice if I could reorder notes myself, though, instead of being forced alphabetical order.
