"I am an antifascist but I support the Azov Battalion""I believe in democracy but I support Ukraine's corrupt regime""I believe in LGBT rights but I also support Ukraine's ban on same sex marriage"And so on and so forth.I believe that deep down they are scared of Russian worldview of tradition, family and customs. And they suspect Russia rejecting NATO is a reaffirmation of those cultural values.

Good point out Ukraine's corruption issues, but in the context of Eastern/Southern Europe, this is normal.3. I think the West intends to bully Ukraine into support same sex marriage, just not right now b/c it would help Putin
