       I discovered while in VR that our computer was running out of memory, it has 32 GB so that really shouldn’t be the case. I wrote it off as a VR memory leak as it was running basically all day, but it persisted after a reboot, with nothing obvious in task manager

       After an hour of debugging we discover it was a rogue Debian Hyper-V machine from a year ago which, despite being assigned 2 GB, was using 29 😵 and of course Hyper-V VMs don’t show up in task manager.

       that VM has probably been causing literally everything else on the computer to swap to disk *constantly* and we just didn’t notice because the SSD is so fast, lmfaoalso almost certainly not good for the SSD’s longevity, alas
