YouTube is getting worse and worse, I assume so that they can push their piece of shit YouTube premium subscription. sometimes when I press the return arrow it just goes back to my homepage not to the fucking previous song, I hate this so much. and it keeps asking me whether I'm still watching in the middle of a song

@Zerglingman Invidious 🤢 but yes I am doing that. I think I'll write something to search and automatically download things from Youtube, and set up a PeerTube instance with everything I have (at the moment, about 3,000 songs from a single YouTube channel)

@mjdxp @straw and then if you're casting to a chromecast, playlist shuffle just doesn't work at all. It's annoying that, wanting to shuffle a 300+ playlist of Miraculous animatics and all sorts on the TV with my sis, but it's always in the same damn order 👀

Not a bad idea, I wasn't really thinking about where to get it from (like does YT even have licence info on videos?), just about why peertube wouldn't just pick up everything in a folder.And it occurs to me that the video URLs, which presumably are primary keys... I think they're uuids? 🤔 Not hashes?
