"Most of them can can boot, many have Wi-Fi support, but currently just two actual phones work as phones: the open-source hardware PinePhone and the Purism Librem 5."https://www.theregister.com/2022/06/15/postmarketos_2206/People who are knowledgeable about @postmarketOS: This is not true, right? Poco F1 and some Snapdragon 410 devices work as "actual phones", too, afaik. #postmarketOS

@linmob @postmarketOS I am planning on buying a poco f1 next month. Based on projects wiki, it should work.

@linmob My Galaxy A5 does work as a phone but there are some definite issues such as having to boot to recovery in order to charge reliably, brightness stuck on the maximum setting, and several issues with phone calls.I certainly wouldn't go as far as the site describes it as I've successfully used this setup as my main phone for 9 months now but I can see where they're coming from.

@linmob @postmarketOS You're right, that isn't true. Several devices in the community category "work as phones" too. Not sure how they missed that to be honest...

@murks @postmarketOS Well, take the bq Aquaris X5: Granted, no camera, but as a phone? Totally doable.
