       @aljazeera "Shangri-La Dialogue" sounds bizarre or even racist to a Brit like me. I was shocked this very important Asia-Pacific security conference, bringing together senior ministers and officials of many nations, would be given this name. Research shows it is based on the name of the luxury hotel hosting delegates. IISS are at fault for not finding a better name - but v. interesting agenda, wish I was there!I expect a UK/EU conference would be 'Blackpool B&B from Hell Dialogue'. Sigh.
