I am what I consider an intermediate level Linux user. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to run my own email serve and setting it up with my own domain name using Linux.

@AqRocks Hosting your own email is notoriuously difficult, it is not easy and you will always need to monitor it.You will need to get comfortable with lots of nerdy email terms such as DKIM, SPF, RBL and Whitelisting.Irregardless, if you really, really want to host your own email then I recommend this guide (You can use Debian 11, and it works just fine) https://www.linuxbabe.com/mail-server/setup-basic-postfix-mail-sever-ubuntuGood luck and if you need help then do not be afraid to contact me, I also host my own email.

@straw @AqRocks Oh yeah, you can also Mailcow but it only works in Ubuntu, and not Debian. And you can also use iRedMail (but I do not recommend it, it is honestly not good)

@straw I have been hosting my email using a Thinkpad R500 (I could just get a VPS, and I really should but I am too lazy to do it now) using that tutorial
