@piggo The part where you write about EVs being unusable, because there are no chargers. There are plenty of commonly used charges both in Prague and the rest of the Czech Republic. @naruciakk compare the number of chargers with the number of gas stations, account for how charging works (you need to leave the car there for up to several hours, so there needs to be other way to get to/from there, etc.). There's mostly a few chargers in shopping centers and thats it. The usual trick is having two cars and someone else to drive you from there, but like, thats not practical or convenient.on-street charging in prague is basically nonexistent

@naruciakk first, the majority way of parking in czech cities and towns is just on a street without any dedicated parking spots. If you have underground parking place, i guess you could get a socket, but it will be a major hassle and expense, since it needs a separate meter and of course sufficiently rated wiring for it. In every way it's more trouble than just taking gas or other fuel, whenever

@xorowl im a fan of hydrogen but the refueling situation is even worse than ev right now, i think there's whole of one station in czech republic. Owning that hydrogen toyota must be amazing

@xorowl there's some challenges with how corrosive it is, plus there just aren't cars for it so no demand. i guess its a kind of chicken & egg situation
