       I'm not putting a CW on the whole post. We don't do that on democracy.town because it stifles discussion and because we think people need to see what's happening. But I'm about to describing what happened in Uvalde, so stop here if you need. Arnulfo Reyes had 11 fourth graders in his classroom in Robb Elementary on May 24th. He told them to hide under a table and pretend they were asleep. Reyes was shot twice. He said he pretended he was asleep and he prayed silently.Reyes was the only one in that room who survived his wounds. He's had five surgeries so far. All 11 children in his classroom were murdered.while police dithered in the hallway.Reyes watched his students die. He heard the 911 phone calls from the students in the adjacent room. He lost two colleagues and friends.Watch the video. He begs the children's parents to forgive him for not saving their children.        @MariaHillWhen a child has to tell you what they saw and heard and how put their friend's blood on themselves to appear as if they had been shot also and then laid quiet, anyone defending it is wrong. These kids will have nightmares and flashbacks for the rest of their lives. People on site had guns. Guns fail.

       @MariaHill ☕️😡 Unforgivable inaction by responding Police. When I return to my school, I will be asking my School Resource Officer if other members of his department would give their all in response to a school shooter on campus? Who would they consider expendable?This will vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Having worked with Police my entire career, I am willing to be harder on them then the average person. They all should be challenged with this question at budget and other public meetings. Be prepared for a shocked and affronted response. Citizens still deserve to know and police agencies put on notice.
