@VulcanRaven The worst part is that I know people who graduated in top Buisness uiniversities in canada, were promised over 60k starting per year, most they got was 40 maybe 45. (canadian btw not american)your degree is what you make of it, it wont carry you at all

@VulcanRaven @SeventhSwell are american universities really that expensive? The most I've seen in Canada is 15k a year unless you're international or its something like medicine.

@VulcanRaven i dont think that's true school can arguably be a a very enriching experience I firmly believe it depends on how much work you put into it and where you dedicate your time.Of course if you only get by and do the bare minimum just to get the shitty piece of paper of course that ten thousand dollars is not going to be worth it for you. But especially for crafts, there's not many places that provide the space and resources that a school offers as well as the know how.For me school is easy enough where I can dedicate zero effort to many nothing classes so that i can put my full attention to the ones that matter to me and relate to what I want to do for a living. You dont need to buy textbooks, libgen.rs easily covers your ass. I've spent maybe max 300 dollars on books over my time at school (several years). Work harder and smarter. It also depends on what exactly you are taking some programs are very hands on craftsmanships, good art schools, film, photography provide alot of very good hands on experience thats crucial to the workforce. Is it worth 100k, probably not but thats an issue with ur shitty country while in my shitty country at least education is a valued choice for most people.Life also bears several different paths, spending it in a specific way doesnt necessairly bear the same results, just because you chose to grind in the workforce at 21 and it worked well for you doesnt mean that exact mentality will work for many others. Sometimes solely school or a mix of the two works.

@Lucidael @VulcanRaven @SeventhSwell if you want to live in the dorms at a cheaper state school in new england it's just under a hundred grand for a bag chellors degree and that's if you know how to pirate ebooks and actually finish in four years. but that was a while ago so it's probably more than that now.
