Nobody in America actually cares at all about climate change. Forget the polls. The proof is in the pudding. Everyone has trucks, SUVs, or minivans. Fast fashion. Jet and car holidays. Food waste. No commitment to mass transit. Nobody gives a fuck about it by action.

@chris I feel like this is true, but it's also true for the liberal urbanites as much as it is for the truck driving rural set. The hipsters have to get new tech gear upgrades on a constant basis, rare earth mining be damned. From clothing to dining out to using air conditioning . . . etc., they care just as little as everyone. They just like to pretend they care for the virtue signal points which is the foundation of their social order.

@chris So. California has so little mass transit it’s ridiculous. I don’t count the trains that don’t link their Lines, making them extremely limited in usefulness.Seems like a lot of young people only Uber/Lift...

I'd take more mass transit if it made more sense but it doesn't around here for the most part. If I lived in a tightly packed urban core it would, but I'd never live in one. I'll occasionally take a train down to the ballgame but that is about it. Now that I'm moving out into the rural areas time for a Brodozer....

@WidowGarrett @chris even where there is mass transit it's ridiculous. Even if you ignore that the buses are rolling asylums and homeless encampments, it takes over an hour and a half to get across Long Beach. This is quicker by bicycle and only 15 minutes or so by car.
