@Moon on social media most people are supporting him and the avg person u talk to's assessment is more or less "amber heard abused depp" and thats the end of it, but that only exists because of a very very effective PR campaign on depp's part that appealed to misplaced egalitarianism of not wanting to appear as though you dont take male abuse victims seriously - even people who are ostensibly 'pro-heard' focus more on the insanity of the public reaction than the actual veracity of the case, but it rly cannot be stressed enough that johnny depp would get drunk and beat the shit out of amber heard regularly while they were married and had the same team of bodyguards, doctors, lawyers, publicists, and sycophants that every celebrity of that level has at their disposal to make sure they get away with this kind of thing, and this is just that on crack

@essie thanks, in my circles people were mostly anti-depp, like it was taken for granted that it was another famous asshole #metoo situation, but with the trial (more like the reporting of the trial) people switched to pro-depp. I think heard came across as unsympathetic as well. that doesn't mean she was wrong, it just didn't look good. I guess. I only saw negative stuff.I only really knew what the media said about the trial and about public opinion but of course that's not reliable at all.

@Moon @essie She is a extreme narcissist and a liar, I watched several hours of the case, the court was against her, everybody is against her, because everybody can see an obvious chronic liar, she lost the case because she had literally nothing on him, the more she tried to make up shit that never happened, the more she exposed herself as the abuser.There wasn't a single person that could testify even a small hint that maybe on a single occasion perhaps Johnny could have been violent against her.
